NEWS : Watching cricket helps in building shock resistant body --- Isha Kalra

Talking about cricket, a game, just a game…naah... a sport capable enough to shake nerves , widens emotional disturbances, makes us crazy, fainted, stuck, speechless & & &…!

Just for getting that ONE six’er on the last ball of the last over…our hunger dies, digestive system goes on a sick leave, heart beats set off on a fluctuation mode ready to take divorce from ‘ bechara dil’ and separate for life. Brain like always remains on a rest mode (presuming am talking about mine here…lol) not in a mood to instruct any of the body function to behave properly.

Closure call of the game of cricket, marks the change from our freezed profile to working profile.

So yaa, thanks to this stupendous game, for throwing such shocks n sizzlers on regular intervals helping in denting and painting of our body.

Om cricketay namah..!

Addicted !

All of you, who have been hi-fiveing each other, thinking I’m dead. How little you know me!! Well..I was just trying to build up some suspense. So, to your disappointment, I’m back!

Life was excessively passive in the past one month. Nothing much to pen down. And with an extremely busy week bygone, I promised myself not to galti-se-bhi-bhatko and do some posting today. But here I am, again!

I wonder why? Is it that I really love doing what I have been doing or that I have done it too often for it to become a habit now?

In principle I think we humans are plain weird. Just like getting up, brushing teeth, drinking a cup of tea, we thread in certain things like an everyday ritual, without knowing why? And with each passing day, it becomes too difficult to tear the “I’m Habituated to this” tag off those things.

I always persuaded myself not to harbor any non-realistic anticipations from people. To foist others with a set of expectations, that one or none out of million people may be able to reach, is not an optimistic statistics. But strange as it may sound, sometimes people you have hardly known or you least expected reach out to you so deeply, that you face difficulty in even expressing how thankful you are to them..:)

Well..that brings me to somehow closing the loop I started initially. I think am not habituated to write on regular intervals...I feel the need to write, so get back to my blog soon enough :)

BODMAS.

What if applied on life :

BO : Planet Earth
D : of Regions
M : of People
A : of new life
S : Ending with Death.

Interesting.

I am Stoned.

Am I ..? Naah…not et all.

It hurts when someone passes by leaving behind the ocean of memories to cherish upon.

It hurts when you feel helpless in front of such painful acts of life what we say ‘were destined’.

It hurts when going gets tough and we have nothing but ‘patience’ to face the music.

People leave. And eventually the voices fade and the faces blur. There is no bailout. But we always remember how we felt with them, at some point of time in our life. They say ‘Why miss anyone…stay connected’...wish god has given us the liberty to meet our loved ones who are now a part of his world.

Bro, wherever you are, you’ll always remain alive in my heart. May your soul rest in peace.

Miss you lots!

To Sir..With Love…!

Meeting him after almost 4 years near Gol Gappe walas’ shop surprised me. He was waiting for his turn.

Standing in his very own ishtyle….as he always used to stand in our management classes. He saw me and my expressions…which were mutually trying to recollect those fond memories of our classes…those pranks…those lectures n those offline assignments notes in college canteen…before I could move a step forward and say a word...he recognized me and left his Gol Gappa Queue.

It feels good to meet someone who has been one of the motivating factors in that stage of life in which so many dreams were ready to take off and geared up to reach new heights.

Due to time constraint…could not talk to him for long…but yaa…having a touch base with him was enough to open my basket of those tender memories.I left with a smile on my face after listening to his GURU VANI and his very own dialogue “Maturity isn’t a matter of age. Bits of life and pieces of experience is the route”…Umm…may be.

OK..Tata..Bye Bye…!

Yeaaaa party time…oopss…Farewell party…:(

It was time to bid farewell to one of my colleague. For good. A new beginning ( Plzzz..she is not getting married okkk :P) is awaiting her and she has to move on further.

We watched, we played, we laughed, we ate and made the occasion memorable with our never ending dramebaazi…anytime u c…hehe

Farewell word reminded me of farewells given to us in schools and colleges. If I talk about my friends.. .their first n last wish was to look one step ahead and make their presence felt amongst all..ahm ahm.., many of my pals used to make plans on dress selection/jewelry selection/shoe selection and not to forget “Sundari Beauty Parlor " selection..lol….well am out of it (tab bhee aur ab bhee)

Hmm..It was after bidding goodbye...that I could relate a saying …”time and tide wait for none”…so yaa…get along with the flow and runnnnnnnn…

Good luck sweety…Phir milenge chalte chalte..:)

Let silence speak…!

Pinnn drop silence….yes..let us make an effort to understand the beautiful language of expressions and non-verbal communication.

I have lamented speaking…. often enough to realize that sometimes silence is far better than imprudent speech. On occasions when I preferred to be silent than talking…made me believe more and more that silence is indeed one of the most commanding form of human expression.

Silence is not being inert. It’s not the absence of words.

You are silent when you don’t wish to attend every argument you are invited to. You are silent when it’s beneath your dignity to respond. You are silent when you don’t need to justify your demeanor. You are silent when your actions are more expressive than words.
You are silent when a moment seems beautiful, flawless and perfect without the need of words.

Silence in its own self is a beautiful approach of expressing…what cannot be expressed in words.

At times, silence speaks more than words ….It is important to give our own self personal space that lets our mind think about things which we have not prepared…not completed…not planned…not expected….not taken….not granted….

SsssssHhhhhhhhhh…..

Whatz in the name ?

"A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches".

While having a conversation with one of the senior most colleague, an interesting thing came into my notice. It talked about the naming conventions that are being followed in different parts of planet earth.

Our conversation was a source of amazement and amusement as it was striking to identify that some names which are used for flirting in Asia like Babes, Lovely, Precious, Peachy or Apples are kept as legal names in EMEA and other parts of world. Imagine yourself in an official meeting in Manila and greeting a woman as ‘Hi BABES’…lol

More imaginative parents shoot for more sophisticated forms of poetry or rhyme, as in Biboy, Boboy, Buboy, Baboy (notice the names get worse the more kids there are...best to be born early or you could end up being a Baboy). I salute my parents for not being so creative….:P

Even better, parents can create whole families of, say, desserts (Apple Pie, Cherry Pie, Honey Pie) or flowers (Rose, Daffodil, Tulip). The main advantage of such combinations is that..they look great painted across your trunk if you're a cab driver.

There is also a whole separate field of name games…those where the parents have exhibited a creative sense of humor on purpose. This reminds me of an incident , In last year elections , I came to know that there were 45 women in one small district in India whose name was “SANTARA” (Orange)…hehe…

Note: The Philippines have a senator named Joker, and it is his legal name. So...whatz the meaning of your name…??

Yaron...dosti badi hee haseen hai...!

Yaaron dosti badi hi haseen hai,
yeh na ho to kya phir
bolo ye zindagi hai
Koi to ho raazadaar
begaraz tera ho yaar...

Here I am...yet again….after having several brainstorming sessions with my friends regarding the next topic on this blog …I have decided to dedicate a post on moi friends(obviously in generic fashion)…

When I open my memory box …Sometimes I wonder, there were ‘n’ number of people I met and events I witnessed in my life, then why is it that I don’t remember it all? Na na..nothing has happened to me...I am perfectly alrite..no mental disorders here...hehe..But yaa I do feel…Did I make my own memories? I think I did. I chose to hold on to people and moments I would have liked to register as my past.

Nothing can compare or ever replace the genuine, caring connection between two people who not only understand, but want only the very best of all things in life for the other. I somehow liked a saying which says: "Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence. True friendship is a plant of slow growth, and must undergo and withstand the shocks of adversity before it is entitled to the appellation."--George Washington (first President of the United States)

This one is for all my domestic and international friends…no matter how near or far we are….we'll always stay connected with each other….off course through internet …hehe..What have you thought… through emotions….relations n all..huh..:P

Pal...Ye hain Pyar ke Pal...!

Hats off to KK for singing such amazing track....

Hum, rahen ya na rahen kal
Kal yaad aayenge ke ye pal
Pal, ye hain pyar ke pal

Chal, aa mere sang chal

Chal, soche kya
Chhoti si, hai zindagi
Kal, mil jaaye to hogi khush-naseebi
Hum rahen ya na rahen yaad aayenge ye pal

Shaam ka aanchal, odh ke aayee dekho woh raat suhani
Aa likh dein hum dono milke apni ye prem kahani
Hum rahen ya na rahen yaad aayenge ye pal

Aane waali subah jaane rang kya laaye deewanee,
Meri chaahat ko rakh lena jaise koi nishani
Hum rahen ya na rahen yaad aayenge ye pal

Hum rahen ya na rahen kal
Kal, yaad aayenge ye pal
Pal, ye hain pyar ke pal
Chal, aa mere sang chal
Chal, soche kya chhoti si hai zindagi
Kal mil jaaye to hogi khush-naseebi

Hum rahen ya na rahen yaad aayenge ye pal
Hum rahen ya na rahen yaad aayenge ye pal....

Love is in the air…!

Here comes the most romantic month of the year. In all corners of the world…this month is considered important in terms of making love, marking confessions and proposals and yaa it also helps in lifting the spirits of teenagers by helping them in increasing the count of their girl friends and boyfriends respectively (rather infatuations as I say)...:P

Special days has also been dedicated namely Rose day, Slap day (my favorite ...hehe), Kiss day, Hug day and our very own Valentine day. People of all age groups celebrate and enjoy these days in their desired ways.

Every February, across the country, candy, flowers, and gifts are exchanged between loved ones .But I honestly feel…do we need a special day or special hour for expressing our love to someone..?

Itz in us and Itz on us…how we have to take things forward…if relationships were dependent on days…tab to kalyaan ho jata iss duniya kaa…!
Never FALL in love but always RISE in love. This will give us more reasons to love someone and be loved by someone.

So…wishing all my loved ones a most romantic and memorable February 2009. I hope this month brings lots of love and happiness and this(s) and that(s) in our lives.

Special note for my teenage pals (who've started preparing themselves for V’day):
You better spare some chocolates and candys’ for meeeee…nahi to…Trin Trin…."Auntyjeee"…lolz

Un-Defined Love…!

They Say…

“Love is blind, Hard to find
Beautiful to get n Painful to forget”

Love cant’ be defined...but if I can, is that Love..?

I never cried with you, but I laughed, until tears dwelled up in my eyes and real world got hazy. Is that love?

I don’t know if I desired you, but I had the need to be irresistibly desired by you. Is that love?

I never touched you, but I always felt you. Is that love?

You said what you wanted to, not what I would have liked to hear. I love that. Is that love?

To fall in love is easy, even to remain in it is not difficult...our human loneliness is cause enough. But is a hard quest worth making to find a mate...through whose steady presence one becomes steadily the person one desires to be.

I know, you know the real me and I’m not scared of myself anymore. For me that is love.

Mute. Unspoken.
